Experience
Sailing has been a part of my life ever since I can remember,
as a child I spend most of my free time on the water.
I sailed many races in sailing dinghies, living in Holland made that all possible. As a young adult I raced a 40 ft Van der Stadt as often as possible.
I skippered one of the twelve Clipper 70´s on the 13/14 Clipper round the world yacht race, the longest yacht race in the world. Racing and managing an amateur team of 54 people.
Fall 2015 I have been skipper on a Swan 59′, participating in the ARC and chartering this yacht in the Caribbean during the winter season.
In 2016 I have been busy with instructing sail and power, chartering on a motor cruiser and delivery of a Contest 62.
October to December I was involved in the ARC as an instructor on a 57 ft Beneteau sailing yacht.
I am still instructing for Clipper Ventures for new crew members of the 17-18 round the world race.
I work for Rubicon3 adventure sailing company as a skipper and Instructor on there voyages to touristically uncharted areas.
In 2018 I started as Manager, Skipper on a Contest 62 till recent.
CARPENTRY BOAT RESTORING AND CHARTERING
While working as a carpenter for 7 years, I worked on restoring An old boat and completed a 58-foot charter sailing yacht which I chartered across the english channel from Harlingen to Brighton and back.
DELIVERIES
November 2003 I was a first mate in delivering a 80 foot ketch from Portimão to Los Angeles USA during a seven-month trip, crossing the Atlantic and cruising the Carribian.
Frequently I deliver Yachts from various places in the world. I delivered a sigma 33 from portugal to the UK and a beneteau oceanis 57 from the Bahamas to Portugal.
Working on dolphin boats, chartering, sailboats and powerboats. Instructor sail & power boats.
